- REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM -

Currently, the system serves a population of approximately 1,500,000 area residents as well as visitors to and through our region. It incorporates personal vehicle, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian modes of travel to move goods and people safely and efficiently through our area over 7,791 centerline miles (i.e. linear miles) or 17,930 lane miles (i.e. linear miles times number of lanes) of roadway and 56.6 miles of trails.
